Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 22 July 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Extrudo ("we", "us", "our"), a service operated by Alberto tranquilli ("Seller"), trading as Extrudo. By creating an account or continuing to use the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The service

Extrudo is an AI-powered diagnostic tool that analyses photos of failed FDM 3D prints and suggests likely defects, causes, and fixes. Outputs are advisory only; you remain responsible for applying any suggested changes to your equipment.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate registration information, keep your credentials confidential, and be responsible for activity under your account. You must have the legal capacity to enter this contract, or authority to bind the organisation you represent.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the service unlawfully; upload malicious content or attempt to compromise our systems; scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell the service; infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights of others; or use the service to generate content that is illegal, harassing, or otherwise abusive.

4. Intellectual property

The service, its software, branding, and documentation are owned by us and licensed to you on a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable basis for personal or internal business use.

You keep ownership of what you upload. Your photos, your 3D model geometry and designs, and your slicer profiles remain yours. We do not claim ownership of them. What we ask for below is a licence to use that content to run and improve the service — not to take it from you.

4a. Licence you grant us for diagnostic content and confirmed outcomes

When you submit content to the diagnostic tool — uploaded photos of prints, the printer / slicer / material parameters and profiles you provide, the diagnoses returned, the repair steps you applied, and any outcome confirmation you record (e.g. "solved", "partial", "not solved", satisfaction rating) — you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence to use, store, reproduce, adapt, modify and create derivative works from that content for the following purposes:

  • operating, maintaining, debugging and improving the service;
  • training, fine-tuning, evaluating and refining the AI models and prompts that power diagnoses;
  • building and maintaining an aggregated knowledge base of confirmed defects, causes, and working fixes ("confirmed solutions"), so a fix that worked for one user can help the next user with the same problem;
  • producing aggregated statistics about parameters, defects and outcomes.

We will use this content in aggregated and/or de-identified form for the training, knowledge-base, and statistics purposes above. Your name, email and account identifiers are not part of that aggregated data.

Public sharing stays opt-in. This licence does not give us the right to publish your specific photo, diagnosis or profile as public content. Publicly sharing a diagnosis result (for example via a share link) is a separate, explicit opt-in you control per diagnosis and can revoke at any time. Nothing in this section overrides that.

4b. Aggregated and derived data

Aggregated, de-identified and statistical data derived from user submissions — including the confirmed-solutions knowledge base and parameter/outcome statistics — is owned by us. We may use, retain, publish and commercialise this aggregated/derived data, including making it available to third parties. Because this data is de-identified and no longer tied to you, it may not be reversible or deletable on request. Personal data about you continues to be governed by the Privacy Notice, and your rights over personal data are unchanged.

5. Payments, subscriptions, and refunds

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, cancellations, refunds, and tax are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms and our Refund Policy.

Paid subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account; access continues until the end of the paid period.

What counts as a case. A "case" is one diagnosis thread — the original photo and description plus every follow-up question, verification photo and correction, until you mark it resolved or it expires. Follow-ups never count as extra cases on any plan.

Plans and limits. Guests without an account get 1 case per month. Free accounts get unlimited cases during our launch/beta period; accounts created during that period keep unlimited free cases permanently, while later free accounts get 3 cases per month. Pro (€9.99/month) includes unlimited cases subject to a fair-use ceiling of 100 cases per month. One-off purchases are also available: a 24-hour pass (€2.99) giving unlimited cases for 24 hours from purchase, and a credit pack (€4.99) of 5 cases that never expire. Bonus diagnoses earned by confirming outcomes stack on top of any plan.

Fair use and rate limits. To protect the service from automated abuse, all plans — including Pro, passes and credits — are subject to a hard limit of 20 new cases per day per account. We may contact you or temporarily restrict new cases if usage looks automated or clearly exceeds normal personal use.

6. AI outputs and accuracy

Diagnoses are generated by machine-learning models and may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for verifying suggestions before acting on them, especially where safety or damage to hardware is a concern. Do not rely on outputs as professional advice.

7. Service level

We provide the service on an "as available" basis and do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. All implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement are disclaimed to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for: material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud concerns, or repeated policy violations. On termination, your right to use the service ends immediately; you can request an export of your data within a reasonable window before deletion. The licences you granted us in sections 4a and 4b over content already submitted before termination survive, as does our ownership of aggregated/derived data under section 4b.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or incidental damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.

10. Assignment and change of control

You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign or transfer these Terms, and any licences and rights granted to us (including those in sections 4a and 4b), in whole or in part, to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, sale of assets, or other change of control. An acquirer or successor inherits the same rights and obligations. We may also sublicense our rights to service providers acting on our behalf.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
