Privacy Notice

Last updated: 22 July 2026

Alberto tranquilli, trading as Extrudo ("we", "us"), is the data controller for personal data collected through this service. This notice explains what we collect, why, and your rights.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data: email address, name, optional country, chosen preferences (language, theme, units).
  • Profile data: printer model, experience level, favourite slicer, usual materials.
  • Diagnosis content: photos of prints you upload, material and printer selections, and messages you exchange with the diagnostic engine.
  • Usage & telemetry: pages visited, feature usage, error diagnostics, device and browser identifiers, IP address.

2. How we use your data

  • To create and secure your account (legal basis: contract performance).
  • To generate AI diagnoses on your uploaded photos and history (contract performance).
  • To improve product quality, prevent fraud, and diagnose errors (legitimate interests).
  • To send transactional messages (password resets, subscription events) — contract performance.
  • To send optional product updates by email if you opt in (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
  • To improve the diagnostic engine and build an aggregated knowledge base of confirmed fixes. We use the photos, printer/slicer parameters, diagnoses and outcome confirmations you submit — in aggregated and/or de-identified form — to refine our AI models and to build a shared library of defect → cause → working fix entries so future users get better answers faster. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the service; for any use that goes beyond that, we rely on your consent. You can object at any time by emailing us. This is described in more detail in section 4a and 4b of the Terms of Service.

3. Who we share data with

  • Paddle — Merchant of Record for all sales; processes payments, subscription management, tax compliance, invoicing.
  • Supabase — database and authentication hosting.
  • Google (Gemini) — AI model provider used to generate diagnoses on the photos and metadata you submit.
  • Professional advisers (legal, accounting) and authorities where required by law.
  • Successors in a change of control. If we're involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of assets, personal data and the aggregated/derived datasets described in section 4 may be transferred to the acquirer or successor, who will be bound by a privacy notice at least as protective as this one.

4. Aggregated and de-identified data

Statistical and aggregated data derived from user submissions — for example the "confirmed solutions" knowledge base of defect → cause → working fix, and parameter/outcome statistics — is de-identified: it is not linked to your account, name or email. We treat this aggregated data as our own dataset and may retain, publish, commercialise or transfer it, including to third parties. Because this data is no longer personal data about you, once it has been de-identified it may not be individually deletable on request; deleting your account still removes your personal data and stops future contributions.

Public sharing of a specific diagnosis (e.g. via a share link) is a separate, per-diagnosis opt-in that you control and can revoke. Nothing in this section publishes your specific photo or diagnosis publicly without that separate opt-in.

5. Retention

We keep account and diagnosis data while your account is active. When you delete your account, personal data is deleted or anonymised, except where we must retain it for legal or accounting reasons. Aggregated / de-identified data derived before deletion may be retained as described in section 4.

6. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures (encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, principle of least privilege).

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can export or delete your data from Settings → Data in the app, or email support@extrudo3d.com. If you're in the UK / EEA you also have the right to complain to your national data-protection authority. Note that the right to erasure applies to personal data; aggregated/de-identified data as described in section 4 may not be individually reversible.

8. International transfers

Some of our processors (including Google and Paddle) may transfer data outside the UK/EEA. Where required, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

9. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies.
